Ms. CarterOn October 29, Suder focused on books and reading. Staff members dressed up as favorite book characters while students wore pajamas.

Teachers and students had many reading activities throughout the day, including extra read alouds and individual reading time. Teachers were also encouraged to incorporate reading into all subject areas.

Teachers participated in a door decoration contest. Ms. Carter, third grade teacher, won the individual contest for Which Way to Witch School. First and fourth grade both chose The Day the Crayons Quit. Miss Nelson and Viola Swamp from Miss Nelson is Missing was on the Kindergarten hall.

Ms. Brown, Media Specialist, was The Library Dragon. Second grade enjoyed making paper bag dragon puppets in the Media Center.

We hope this day of reading helps students realize the importance of a lifelong reading habit.
